Brothers,
You know of course that the
disciple of the dark lodge of brothers cannot progress further than the 2nd initiation as bestowed by the great white lodge.
Though it is possible for an initiate of the 3rd degree to fall. For only after the egoic lotus is destroyed is it not possible
to become one. Up to this point the progressing dark brother always has choice to leave his dark ways and indeed must display
many qualities of light for such recognition by the Christ! 2nd degree disciples have many qualities but not yet the recognition
of the Will of god or the love aspect as recorded by Sanat Kumara. This is why the 3rd degree is the first initiation into
Shamballa. This is as you know, the whole purpose of Initiation and it is here that the fully turned and committed dark brother
finds a securely closed door and definatly renounces the White Lodge and "accepts" the dark lodge of materiality and of Mahatic
development.
Master Hilarion, in the Temple
Teachings informs us that the equivalent to an Arhat or an Initiate of the 4th degree of the Great White Lodge of Masters
is termed a 'Dugpa.' This may be a familiar term to students of the secret doctrine but it is ranked as the 4th degree by
Master Hilarion with regards Initiation along the lines of Mahatic unfoldment strictly for the use of our dark brothers only.
So you see my brother, they do build an equivalent to the Antakarana, but on the lines of manasic evil, again strictly counter
wise to the path and self-chosen way of the White Adept. Though yes, the dark lodge of masters indeed have equivalent and
polar opposite grades and ranks to the initiations of the brotherhood of light.
A specific and sincere
question might be, how is a black master then formed? Firstly, we must always bear in mind analogy and polar opposites. HPB
stated there is an 'equal and opposite pole to everything' "seven states in every state." SD3 570. DK tells us that at the
4th initiation the soul or causal body is destroyed permitting a direct inflow of monadic energy and a pure relation between
the Spirit and the purified personality vehicles and permitting not the white lodge member the availability to fall whilst
not in possession of the egoic lotus so to speak. Correspondingly, but counter wise the dark brother, self-chosen, allows
the severing of the Monad from his soul and personality vehicles. His or her soul is then eventually destroyed in Avichi but
in the mean time he utilizes one third of the egoic lotus contacting in certain peculiar ways other spheres of cosmic evil
and magnetic corruption. This surely indicates to us how in a most unusual way, the dark brother escapes planetary avichi,
to in effect, tread the path of systemic avitchi with a quest for cosmic avitchi, and further on this point I will not go.
Thus is a black master or
magician created or wilfully born, but always does the inversely created antakarana or black "path of manasic evil" remain,
which may in effect lead this brother away from our solar system to "spheres of evil incomprehensible to us." No doubt, they
certainly have the choice of seven paths though these will in no way be identical to, or in no way similar to, the freedom
of the seven solar systems the arhats, masters and chohans of light consider and choose. For the dark master always remains
a 'prisoner' to matter even though, as DK informs us, the dark lodge is "guided in detail" from the cosmic astral plane it
is only matter and form they are master of, with the whole spectrum of cosmic Love and Will quite unseen and untouched by
them!
With love
Your brother

Therefore, the Brothers of
the Shadow can, and do, reach high levels along one aspect of consciousness, and touch certain specific heights of spiritual
evil, going a great way along the line of Mahat, or knowledge, the principle of Universal Mind. They can reach, in their later
stages, expansions of consciousness and of power that will take them far beyond the confines of our solar system, and give
them attributes and capacities which prove a menace to the unfolding of the second Aspect.
The first group of alignments,
when not balanced by the second group, is the line of the black magician; it will lead him eventually out of the stream of
fivefold energy we call manasic on to the cosmic path of fohatic energy, the strictly mahatic. When on that Path two directions
are possible to him; one will keep him in touch with the natural substance aspect concerned with the cosmic incarnations of
our solar Logos; the other will sweep him on to that center in the universe which is the emanating source of the mahatic principle;
it is the focal point where is generated that type of energy which makes possible the dense physical manifestation of Gods
and men. TCF 1225.
The mental unit or the mind
aspect of a man, for instance, is after all but the sixth sense, and has to be transcended by the higher mind and the intuition.
The black brother carries the evolution of the senses on to a stage inconceivable to man now and this sixth mahatic sense
is of vaster extent and service to them than it ever is to the white Adept. Therefore, it will be apparent that for a long
cycle of time, the black magician can persist and develop his powers because one-third of the force of the egoic lotus is
his and he knows well how to utilize it to the best advantage. He builds also an antahkarana, but of quality and objective
different to that of the student of the white magic. It is called "the path of manasic evil," and bridges a gap between the
mental unit of the magician concerned, and certain correspondences on mental levels in the vehicles of the devas of that plane.
TCF 1225.
For instance, the terms "Arhat and Dugpa," indicative of the embodied spiritual intelligences of two degrees of life have been for long centuries unknown, misunderstood and misrepresented or repudiated by narrow sectarian devotees of orthodox forms of religion. The word
"magic," from the root "magi," has been used for ages in the far East to denote a
sacred science which is inseparable from religion.
An Arhat is one of a very
high and powerful order of intelligences comparable to one order of the Archangels referred to in Biblical lore. A Dugpa is one of a
correspondingly powerful order of intelligences, who uses his power for selfish purposes, even to the debasement of his fellow creatures. Temple Teachings1 Hilarion.
JPC: As the path of Mahat
is always limited to form and matter, I would have to think that there is no pure atomic matter in the vehicles used if need
be. Most actual dark brothers I think work through or use others as their physical plane shells to wreak their work manifest.
Interestingly Hilarion speaks
of plague-ridden spectres. So I think they can well create some unholy/impure kind of rupa, which can indeed spread disease
and such like where it can find a hold. Interestingly DK mentions I think that much of contagion/disease/plague ect is held
back by hierarchy. Now that would tie in with part of the battle against the black lodge. This is highly theoretical though.
If in theory we could catch a virus or bacterium from some carrier for example, then what could someone be
infected with by a black master? But then of course second degree initiates like Hitler, DK says, were shells and therefore
obsessed. They use many shells or people given over to obsession it seems.
To clarify, I don't think
the 5th degree black master would use a fully atomic matter body. He would only be able to create, I think, one half atomic
matter as at the second initiation, or maybe a little more, but not the three quarters at the third. BUT, let us recall that
DK duly informs us that even white lodge disciples are able to acquire a disease and trouble free physical body if he is entirely
spiritually selfish and suffers not with humanity, and so, there is a possibility that he, the dark lodge Initiate, can create
an added substance of an un-holy nature, in addition to the one half atomic matter which will be drawn from the... JPC.

Again, the four initiations,
prior to that of the adept, mark respectively the attainment of certain proportions of atomic matter in the bodies - for instance,
at the first initiation one-fourth atomic matter, at the second one-half atomic matter, at the third three-quarters atomic
matter, and so on to the completion. Since buddhi is the unifying principle (or the welder of all) , at the fifth initiation
the adept lets the lower vehicles go, and stands in his buddhic sheath. He creates thence his body of manifestation. HIS 17.
